About Yogashire
My love for yoga began 17 years ago whilst living and working in India. I still remember my first yoga class — it felt as though every cell in my body had awakened around an ocean of deep inner calm. That sense of grounding and expansiveness continues to inspire my practice today.
For more than a decade I travelled far and wide, returning to India and seeking out retreats, trainings and teachers from a range of traditions - Hatha, Vinyasa, Restorative & Yin - that continue to inform my approach. Most recently, I completed my Yoga Teacher Training at Bristol School of Yoga, a beautiful full-circle moment that felt like a natural next step after so many years of practice.
For me, yoga is a lifelong exploration of connection — to body, breath, and awareness. It builds strength and flexibility, but it also cultivates compassion, curiosity, playfulness, and calm.
As B.K.S. Iyengar said, “Yoga is a light which once lit will never dim.” My intention is to help others discover that light within themselves – to move, breathe and live with greater freedom and peace.
